Our Connected Manufacturing group is responsible for driving Digital Transformation across all the companys facilities. This team uses cutting-edge software to collect and interpret data and present it in an actionable form to those who can use it to improve processes across our company.
About the position:
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Connected Manufacturing team. This role collaborates across departments and sites to help further the departments goals, including manufacturing sites in Greene, NY, Muscatine, IA and Columbus, IN. Your perspective teammates cover multiple roles that allow the department to handle everything needed from data collection to data analytics and UI/UX. As a Data Engineer, you would be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. As well as developing data architecture to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analysis. You will:
- Design, develop and maintain data pipeline schedules, ETL processes, orchestrate workflows, and monitor overall health to ensure continuous data availability.
- Create, update, and optimize data connections, datasets, and transformations to align with business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data sync issues, ensuring consistent and correct data flow from source systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold data quality standards and ensure accurate data is available for use.
- Develop, manage and optimize data cleansing, storage, retrieval, consolidation, and integration mechanisms to support big data analytics at scale.
- Build visualizations and assist business users with testing, troubleshooting, and documentation creation, including data maintenance guides.
- Implement data governance and security best practices while ensuring availability (ease-of-use) among broad user groups.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering
3 + years Engineering experience
Including 2 + years of Data Engineer experience
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery)
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
It would be great if you had:
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
About the total compensation package:
Salary -$88,300 - $131,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidates education and experience.
