The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office .
Primary Responsibilities
Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging, mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.
Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.
Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.
Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
Basic Qualifications
Masters degree in related field
2 years of applicable experience or internships
Mechanical design experience
3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems
Must possess active DOE Q security clearance.
Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area.
Preferred Qualifications
SolidWorks CAD and 2D drawing experience
Experience working at a DOE facility
Hands on assembly and test of prototypes
EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience
Static FEA and thermal analysis experience

Pay Range: Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
