Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Requirements Process Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust requirement management processes across our organization and with our partner brands. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for requirement decomposition, allocation, and sharing, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across all vehicle development stages. This is a mid-level position reporting to the Sr. Manager of Process, Methods and Tools, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of electric mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Process Development & Implementation:
    • Develop and document comprehensive requirement management processes, including decomposition, allocation, traceability, and change management across our requirements tool and integrated tools.
    • Establish standardized methodologies and tools for requirement gathering, analysis, and validation.
    • Help ensure we maintain a robust requirement database and ensure data integrity.
    • Define and implement workflows for requirement sharing and collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with systems engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirement definitions and interpretations.
    • Facilitate requirement reviews and workshops to ensure clarity and completeness.
    • Work with partner brands to facilitate sharing of requirements, and ensure alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
    • Monitor and analyze requirement-related metrics to track process effectiveness.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and emerging technologies related to requirement management.
    • Create and maintain training documentation for the requirement process.
  • Tool Management:
    • Assist in the selection, deployment, and administration of requirement management tools
    • Provide user support and training for requirement management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on requirement management.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with automotive or electric vehicle systems is a plus.
  • Experience in cross company collaboration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE).
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California-Based Applicants : 98,500 to 123,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
