Position Summary:

Reports To: Field Service Engineering Leader

Essential Functions:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out Service / Maintenance activities at our clients site.
• Producing spares and service quotes from time to time.
• Planning & booking of travel arrangements & hotels for site visits.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements before and during visit.
• To provide advice and appropriate training to the clients Engineers as and when required.
• To undertake problem solving and troubleshooting skills as part of normal customer facing duties.
• Working closely with the Regional Sales Managers to schedule site visits and identify future sales opportunities.
• Carry out visits to main PM customers at short notice.
• Complete clear, descriptive, and informative site reports promptly after each site visit for our and our clients records.
• Co-ordination of feedback to customers from various internal departments as the technical issue dictates.
• Ensure weekly time sheets & expenses are submitted accurately & in a timely manner.
• Always attend site and client visits in a professional manner.
• Other duties, as assigned.

• Must interface effectively and regularly with:
  • End Users / Customers
  • Technical Sales Coordinators
  • Engineering
  • Customer Service / Planning teams

Education and/or Experience:

• Shadowing of Service and Commissioning Engineers
• Training on Inter Departmental Processes
• Formal Electrical/Software Training as necessary
• H&S Training as required
• Mechanical Training as required

Skills / Training:

• Fault finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to provide accurate and clear diagnosis of technical complaints.
• Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principals.
• Sound understanding of controls & instrumentation (including pneumatics).
• Basic understanding of PLC hardware and software would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
• Good understanding of essential H&S Management.
• Desire to identify and complete training courses where skills need improving.
• Bi-lingual (English, Spanish) is a plus.
• Full Clean Drivers License preferred.
• Ability to travel at short notice.

Computer Skills:

• MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• JDE basics of looking up info, simple quotes
• Concur for Expenses and Travel
