Data Integration & Middleware Engineer (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Location: Milwaukee, WI or Woodstock, Illinois

What Youll Do
- Build and manage secure, high-performance APIs and microservices.
- Design middleware solutions that bridge cloud-based and on-premises platforms.
- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and business teams to turn integration needs into scalable solutions.
- Use tools like Azure Functions , Logic Apps , API Management , and Ansible to automate and optimize integrations.
- Create and maintain data models and diagrams using Visio , Lucidchart , or Miro .
- Troubleshoot integration issues and continuously improve system performance.
- Implement best practices for API security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in API design, middleware, or system integrations.
- Solid experience with Azure cloud services and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Familiar with programming languages like .NET , Python , or Node.js .
- Understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL , SQL , and modern database technologies.
- Comfortable working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and event-driven systems .
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Bonus Points For
- 5+ years of integration experience.
- Certifications in Azure, API design, or database tech.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Familiarity with serverless and IaC tools like Terraform.
- Experience with Azure MQ , WAFs, and modern security protocols.
