Daikin Applied is seeking a Test Engineering Supervisor who will be a working leader who directs and coordinates activities of a small team within the Laboratory to design, manufacture, troubleshoot, improve, and optimize lab systems by performing the following duties listed below personally and/or through subordinates. Location: Onsite, Plymouth, MN

What you will do:

• Direct team activities to deliver Test Engineering deliverables on-time, on-cost, and on-specification
• Resolve technical problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts
• Assist the analysis and formulation of capital plans in alignment with MGPP/MGTP. Be a key contributor to capital budgeting and planning process. Participate in the expenditure request review and approval process
• Lead the development of testing technology strategies with the implementation of innovative solutions to data acquisition, software and test facility operation to close knowledge gaps identified in MGTP
• Provide input to the operating costs of department in preparation of budget forecasts
• Provide leadership, conflict resolution and consensus management among employees and other departments
• Maintain a working knowledge of laboratory systems/technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly
• Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
• Has authority for personnel decisions; and impacts departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 year Degree in Engineering (prefer Mechanical Engineering)
• 2 to 4 years experience in Engineering
• Experience providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a team
• Good understanding of HVAC equipment and/or components
• PC skills including Microsoft office applications
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $ 102,900 to $ 128,800 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
