Job Title: Application Engineer
Job Description
The candidate will provide technical application support, training, and product overviews for Sensor Technology products to meet the needs of the sales force, internal teams, and external customer inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve application-related inquiries from customers, internal teams, and end-users.
- Address technical questions regarding the operation and functionality of products.
- Support pricing inquiries for inside and outside sales teams, distributors, and sales representatives.
- Collaborate with Global Product Management, Centers of Excellence, and Portfolio Managers to translate customer needs into product requirements.
- Assist in research and compliance reviews for products.
- Provide product training for new employees and internal/external sales channels as needed.
- Develop and maintain technical content for datasheets, price lists, catalogs, and installation/operation manuals.
- Create tools to aid inside sales with product information.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and support technical inquiries.
- Support engineering teams in assigned duties.
- Stay updated on product applications, business operations, and industry standards.
- Perform additional technical support tasks and ancillary duties as necessary.
Essential Skills
- BS Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an Application Engineer in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with cell culture, load cell experience, and instrumentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CRM or Engineering Software.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office setting in Lewis Center. The work environment is modern and clean, with a smaller family-feel atmosphere. There is flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week once performance standards are met. Up to 20% travel is required for customer site visits with the sales team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
