Summary

Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Plant Electrical Engineer supporting our Plant Engineering Facility Team. This team leads the implementation of capital projects and is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining plant-wide infrastructure, as well as providing technical support for building and maintenance operations.

As a Plant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing projects across our manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor areas. Your focus will be on identifying and solving technical challenges while ensuring that all equipment and processes align with the organizations safety, health, quality, and productivity standards. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects for manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor areas.
  • Take responsibility for the electrical aspects of projects, which may include design, documentation, equipment installation, project management, and support.
  • Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and effectively manage outage risks.
  • Create and maintain sustainable documentation for use by engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Design solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to enhance environmental and employee health and safety standards.
  • Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines to ensure successful completion of project work.
  • Review equipment quotations to confirm compliance with desired specifications.
  • Deliver technical support to the Production and Maintenance departments.
  • Coordinate and interface with engineering, production, maintenance, and procurement teams.
  • Work closely with and often manage outside engineering and construction personnel.
  • Ensure all safety, health, environmental, and compliance requirements adhere to the appropriate regulations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by managers within the Plant Engineering department.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • For level II: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • For level III: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong desire to take ownership of tasks and deliver results.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, self-motivation, and a commitment to safety.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to handle diverse assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Capability to perform hands-on work when needed and work collaboratively on the shop floor with employees and processes.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes.
  • Experience with 2D CAD modeling; familiarity with AutoCAD/Vault is preferred.
  • Willingness to occasionally work off shifts, travel between facilities in Northeast Ohio, and travel as required.
