Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to serve as a secondary engineering resource for our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will identify, develop, and execute solutions for quality performance improvements on production systems, support the continuous improvement program, and lead installation and startup efforts for assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Eliminate losses and waste, increase the stability of technical packaging equipment.
- Support Engineering and Training teams in providing training for operators and mechanics.
- Support the development of Work Instructions.
- Document projects and reduce downtime.
- Lead installation and startup efforts for assigned projects.
Essential Skills
- Minimum AS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Understanding of ladder logic and exposure to PLCs, particularly Mitsubishi PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Positive mindset and a go-getter attitude.
- Continuous improvement mindset in all aspects of work.
- Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is a plus, but not required.
Work Environment
This position is in a food packaging facility within a manufacturing setting. The role operates on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The company is steadily growing, with 9-10 new production lines being installed soon. There is room for growth with facilities throughout the country. The facility has maintained a strong engineering and maintenance team with no turnover since its opening about a year ago.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
