Product Engineer Jobs in Maryland
A Product Engineer in the manufacturing engineering industry is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating integrated systems for producing products. They work to improve production methods, determine manufacturing costs, implement quality control standards, and develop user manuals. Their goal is to ensure that the manufacturing process is as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Important skills for a Product Engineer include strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a good understanding of engineering science and technology. They should also have strong math skills and the ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software. Certifications like Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) and Professional Engineer (PE) licenses may be beneficial.
